"The cause is bird strike!!!!"

In the afternoon of 15th, a U.S. passenger plane made an emergency landing in the Hudson of New York.
It was the time that did not pass after a takeoff for one minute either that emergency was generated on a passenger plane. An engine exploded, and fire began to blow from many places and smelled it seeming to be gas.
As for 150 passengers, crewman 5, all the members were saved. There was not the severely wounded person, too.This is miraculous.

The person concerned with U.S. aviation denied possibility of the terrorism.
It was "the bird strike" which an engine breathed in a bird as for the cause of the trouble, and broke down.

The eyewitnesses tell that it "was a perfect emergency landing".
The police and a fire brigade rushed to the spot promptly, and the passengers were saved by the help boat of the coastal guard and a private ferry. The New York city was the cold that temperature was less than six times below zero in those days.

There are many cases which a lot of dead people go for by the emergency landing to the water.
The rescue while a body began to set was a race against time. As well as a coastal guard and the ships such as city fire officials which It rushed to by the first report of the accident, It rushed to a ferry and the water taxi in sequence.
I transported the passenger whom It stood on the main wing, and waited for rescue and passengers who moved to a life-boat to the wharf of both sides.

There was hardly the victim because It was able to cope smoothly.

US Airways Group, Inc. But, it is an airline establishing a base in State of United States of America Arizona Tempe (Tempe, Arizona) to own. I tend to be called US air.

It is a big airline to the sixth now in the United States of America. It have 360 possession machine parts and go into service in North America, Central America, the West Indies and 241 European cities.

A past accident: On September 8, 1994, 427 flights of US Airways caused a crash accident, and all 132 crewman passengers died. It was said that a cause was unknown, and the crash accident was considered to be mystery.

"bird strike"
The report that a bird collided with an American civilian airplane is about 51,000 in total for 1990-2003 years. The thing which the damage was given to amounts to 6,700 cases.
At least 122 were damaged greatly in the world after 60, and 255 people died.

In Japan, there are many of airports in the seaside department and is piled up with the habitation area of the waterfowl, the bird strike is often up.
According to Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, 1,320 reports are in 2007 years, and there are about 230 examples that It beat and breathed in to an engine.

But It fall for bird strike, and the accident that casualties go for does not occur in the country.


"An emergency landing accident to the water"

There are many cases which a lot of dead people go for.

In August, 2005, 9 died in the accident that a passenger plane of 39 passenger who failed in a landing to the airport of Italy Sicily made an emergency landing in the offing.

In January, 2000, a Swiss plane of 41 passenger who caused engine falling through failed in an emergency landing to the Mediterranean Sea, and submergence, at least 15 died.

"My Coment"
I knew this news in the middle of the night of 15th.
And I was surprised at the figure that an airplane sank into the river.However, I felt relieved in there having been a victim very much miraculously.
I thought that it was the technical height of the pilot. It is a splendid pilot.

I want to board the airplane which he steers.
